Warner Bros.’s (NYSE:TWX) ‘The Hobbit’ prevails at weekend box office says , Bloomberg . “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies,” from Warner Bros. (TWX) topped Sony's (SNE) remake of “Annie” and 21st Century Fox's (FOX, FOXA) The “Night of the Museum” this weekend, says Bloomberg. The action-fantasy from Warner Bros.brought in $56.2M in weekend sales, added Bloomberg. TWX is part of the Services sector in Entertainment - Diversified industry. The stock closed for the day at $84.93 with a change of $0.55 or 0.65% on Friday.
Xerox Corporation(NYSE:XRX) to sell IT outsourcing business to Atos for $1.05B. Xerox announced an agreement to sell its Information Technology Outsourcing business to Atos for $1.05B prior to closing adjustments, with additional consideration of $50M subject to the condition of certain assets at closing. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approval and is expected to close in the first half of 2015. XRX traded in the green and closed at $13.89 for the day. The stock saw a change of $0.43 ( 3.19% ) with a volume of 6376658 shares. XRX has a market cap of $15.86B.
Turquoise Hill Resources Ltd. (NYSE:TRQ) Turquoise Hill returns to production at Oyu Tolgoi after fire . Turquoise Hill's operations at the Oyu Tolgoi concentrator recommenced after three days on December 6, with both SAG mills and three of four ball mills now operating. Repairs to the concentrator's damaged cyclone pack are progressing well and are expected to be complete in three to four weeks. Turquoise Hill expects to meet its 2014 production guidance. TRQ is part of the Basic Materials sector in Industrial Metals & Minerals industry . The stock closed for the day at $2.84 with a change of $0.04 or 1.39%. TRQ traded in a range of $2.81 to $3.00 through the day. The stock’s 52 week range is $2.75 to $4.36.
