Stock Watch: Energizer (NYSE:ENR) changes name of Personal Care company

Energizer Holdings (NYSE:ENR)  announced the names of each of the two new companies upon separation, which is targeted for completion by July 1. The Personal Care Division will be named Edgewell Personal Care upon its separation to become an independent company. The Household Product Division will retain the Energizer Holdings, Inc. name and logo. Separation activities are well underway and are expected to be completed on July 1. Until that time, Energizer Holdings, Inc. will continue to operate under its current name and stock trading symbol. Edgewell Personal Care has reserved the stock symbol EPC on the New York Stock Exchange, while Energizer Holdings, Inc. will maintain the symbol ENR on the New York Stock Exchange. Both will begin trading under these symbols upon completion of separation.

 

Targa Resources (NYSE:TRGP) shareholders approve share issuance in merger with Atlas Energy.  Targa Resources (NYSE:TRGP) announced that the stockholders of the company approved at a special meeting of stockholders held today the issuance of shares of common stock of the company in connection with the company's proposed merger with Atlas Energy, L.P. (ATLS). Approximately 76.15% of the shares of the company's common stock that were outstanding as of the record date of January 22 approved the share issuance, and approximately 91.50% of the shares of the company's common stock that were voted approved the share issuance. A special meeting of ATLS unitholders was also held to approve the merger agreement in connection with the ATLS Merger.

 

Freeport McMoRan (NYSE:FCX) announces 3productoin test on Highlander discovery. Freeport-McMoRan (NYSE:FCX) announced the results of additional production testing on Freeport-McMoRan Oil & Gas’s Highlander discovery, located onshore in South Louisiana in the Inboard Lower Tertiary/Cretaceous trend. The production test, which was performed in the Cretaceous/Tuscaloosa section, utilized expanded testing equipment and indicated a flow rate of approximately 75 million cubic feet of natural gas per day (MMcf/d), approximately 37 MMcf/d net to FM O&G, on a 42/64th choke with flowing tubing pressure of 10,300 pounds per square inch.
